Program details
Participants who successfully complete the program requirements will be given a Certificate of Completion from Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, Toronto Metropolitan University.
Yes. This is a part-time program intended for participants who are currently employed.
The program features virtual synchronous learning. Participants are expected to attend all live-online (Zoom) class sessions.
Participants are required to complete all programming components to successfully earn their certificate. This includes all pre-class assignments and quizzes, as well as attending all class sessions. If a participant needs to miss a day of class, they must submit a valid reason to the program staff in advance. Recordings will be provided for viewing as a makeup, however these recordings are not broadly distributed.
Application details
There are three parts to the application process:
- Online Application – Complete and submit the online application form, including an up-to-date resume. After the initial online application has been submitted, further information including details and deadlines for subsequent steps will be provided by email.
- Kira Talent Interview – An open-response, situational assessment.
- Supporting Documents – Candidates are encouraged to provide any additional documentation to support their application. The purpose of submitting supporting supplementary documents is to demonstrate your growth potential.
Candidates are encouraged to provide supplementary documentation to enhance their application. These supporting documents should demonstrate your potential for growth and readiness to advance their careers within the cybersecurity field within 6 months of completing the program.
- Recommendation letter from your current employer, highlighting your eligibility for a promotion after completing the Cyber Management program.
- Recommendation letter from a senior cybersecurity leader/HR leader who speaks to your eligibility for career advancement into management position
- Evidence of job applications and/or interviews to relevant roles related to management
- Any other evidence that you have already been considering your next career move.
You may submit up to four (4) documents.
We have provided three templated Recommendation Letters for you. Feel free to share these templates with your employer or senior leader to help them easily draft a strong letter of support. You can adapt and customize these templates to best fit your individual circumstances.

Yes, all applicants will be contacted by email during the application process.
An admission decision will be sent out by August 26, 2025.
No, participants must be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents or Convention Refugees, residing in Canada. We will also accept applications from individuals who are in Canada on Open Work Permits. You will be required to submit proof of your status in Canada.
Fees
The fee for this Program is $1,300 CAD + HST. This pricing is a special one-time discount for the inaugural cohort, made possible by Upskill Canada powered by Palette Skills. Future cohorts will cost $3,600 CAD + HST.
The payment deadline will be stated in your Offer of Admission.
The fee is non-refundable once you start the program.
