The partnership will provide practical low-cost strategies to prevent attacks and mitigate breaches, beginning with a free bootcamp for small- and medium-sized businesses on November 20
October 23, 2025 (Yellowknife, NT) — Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst (“the Catalyst”) and Prosper NWT have announced a new partnership to deliver cybersecurity support tailored to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the Northwest Territories.
The partnership launched this past week with a fireside chat in Yellowknife hosted by the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce. The conversation featured Joyce Taylor, CEO of Prosper NWT; Charles Finlay, Catalyst Founding Executive Director; and Kelly Clarke, Owner and operator of North of 60 Aurora Adventures. The conversation focused on how SMBs across the Canadian North can protect themselves from cyber threats and mitigate losses when breaches occur.
On November 20, the new partnership will deliver a free one-day boot camp at Prosper NWT’s Yellowknife offices, led by a Catalyst senior cybersecurity expert. This training will be tailored specifically to the needs of Northern businesses and focus on actionable, low-cost, or no-cost steps that SMBs can take to strengthen their digital resilience.
“Our partnership with Prosper NWT marks an important first step in bringing cybersecurity support to communities and organizations across Canada’s North, a region vital for Canada’s national sovereignty and economic future,” said Charles Finlay, Founding Executive Director of the Catalyst. “We’re honoured to have this opportunity to work with Prosper NWT to serve the people and small businesses of the Northwest Territories.”
“Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities, and digital safety is critical to business success,” said Joyce Taylor, CEO of Prosper NWT. “Partnering with the Catalyst allows us to provide business owners with the practical tools and knowledge to protect what they’ve built.”
To attend the bootcamp, please visit the registration page to secure your seat. Space is limited. Participants can attend in person or virtually.
