With women holding only about 25% of cybersecurity roles worldwide, it’s clear there is significant work to do to close the gender gap in cybersecurity. Here at the Catalyst, we are committed to diversifying the cyber talent pipeline.
We know that women hoping to start careers in cyber face real barriers. Our CLIC program is designed with flexibility and inclusion in mind, so women can succeed in the program and find rewarding careers in the sector. As a CLIC student, you can:
-
- Study at your own pace while still managing your work and family life commitments, and even take your certification exams from the comfort of your own home (with virtual proctoring).
-
- Access a supportive network of women across all Catalyst programs, including through private Slack channels (for working parents, newcomers to Canada, career transitioners, etc) and networking events.
-
- Have help in navigating the job search process with a personalized career plan, including networking how-tos, job offer negotiation training, and promotion planning.
-
- Join workshops and receive tailored guidance that will help you refresh your study skills and build new habits – especially important if you’ve been out of the study game for a while.
See yourself working in cyber? Register for our upcoming CLIC virtual info session for women happening on June 14, or reach out to one of our Program Advisors at CatalystTraining@torontomu.ca.
