Hear from Catalyst Special Advisor Daniel Blanc, former Director of National Security for the Canadian Armed Forces, as he delivers a 30-minute executive overview of Canada’s current defence landscape. Daniel will unpack the key priorities, emerging challenges, and market opportunities shaping the sector today. Drawing on his extensive leadership experience within the Canadian Armed Forces and CAF Cyber Forces (now CAF Cyber Command), he will provide practical insight into how Canada’s defence and security ecosystem is evolving, and what that means for industry.
The second half of the session will feature an interactive Q&A focused on how organizations can strategically enter and grow within the defence sector. Daniel will address topics such as navigating procurement pathways, positioning your company as a supplier or technology partner, aligning with defence priorities, and identifying innovation collaboration opportunities within Canada’s national defence and security ecosystem.
Whether you’re a scaling company, an established firm exploring new markets, or a founder building dual-use technologies, this session will provide the context and clarity needed to engage the defence sector with confidence.
