By bridging the gap between the needs of the financial sector and the emerging cybersecurity startup industry, the RBC FinSec Incubator helps early-stage startups transform the financial cyber ecosystem. This Catalyst program aims to encourage budding businesses with opportunities to validate their cyber solutions using RBC’s financial framework.
With access to customers, coaching, and a community of industry experts and peers, startups receive the resources and exposure needed to scale while driving global impact. Program participants will also receive comprehensive mentorship by experts and founders, access to workshops, pitching roundtables and product showcases.
Participants have access to:
- Networking opportunities with RBC investors and Catalyst community
- Technology showcases with RBC partners and key financial professionals
- 16+ hours of mentorship with cyber and fintech experts, including corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, and angel and venture investors
- Workshops and peer-to-peer sessions to share insights, lessons learned and best practices
- Customized support with procurement strategies and pitch coaching
Eligibility
This program is open to early-stage, high-potential startups, and eligible companies should also have:
- A tech-enabled product solving a compelling problem in the cybersecurity industry;
- An MVP with ongoing or upcoming marketing validation/commercialization;
- The potential to become a scalable business in an expanding market;
- A dynamic, receptive, and cohesive leadership team;
- Funding less than $3M CAD;
- Permission to operate in Canada;
- Been established within the last five years.
